Not long ago...

Not long ago but from the first day of 2020 we all watched the news on television: people screaming from their apartments in a town named Wuhan in China. Several things happened then. People got sick and some died. Doctors were fighting a new virus that was later named Covid-19, and some of them also died.

Somehow, we do not know how, perhaps because people move from one place to another, we stopped seeing those people in the news and this disease became part of our daily life.

People behave in many ways and different things happen to them. Some get sick, others do not. Some die, others survive. Some have exemplary behavior; other ones have no appreciation for life.

All kinds of things happen near to me like maybe they happen to all the people in the world. We knew from a 14-year-old boy who decided to care his mom when she was sick with Covid-19. Unfortunately, he was to young to take care of home stuff so one day he suffered an accident and was electrocuted. In the news, we found out about a couple who had already paid for their wedding celebration and were unable to do so because of the pandemics. Thus, they decided to donate the food to the relatives of Covid-19 patients who were waiting outside a hospital. Other people attacked doctors and nurses, and burned hospitals. Some more were still part of crime and other ones got drunk at scandalous parties.

At some point of a quarantine (of more that 40 days), people made all kinds of videos on YouTube and other posts on social media. Some of them were of encouragement, other ones of recognition to the medical personnel and some were even funny.

The reality of the people passed with another added reality like the superposition of waves in the water of a pond. Young people who studied their subjects felt that they were not learning. Some published messages of sadness in which they regretted that they were taking away their youth. Millions of workers suffered because they lost their jobs. Other workers did not suffer but were bored or in the best cases, they adapted to a new life and took the opportunity to be creative or to do things that they had not been able to do before.

The children also adapted, but perhaps they were the saddest in the world. They talked with his friends through photos and chats, not in person. However, there was not alternative. You know that children get sick and can infect their grandparents who are among the most vulnerable people for the Covid-19.

News says that the Covid-19 pandemic will last about 3 years, at least. In that time, 70% of the population will be infected, they say.

In this reality, polyhedra also get depressed and that is why they have not written, but you know, you have to write and you must continue living...
